Christian Family Gympie is a member of the
Australian Christian Churches which is a movement of
Pentecostal Churches in voluntary cooperation.
The Assemblies of God in Australia was formed in
1937 and has experienced consistent growth,
particularly in the last twenty years.
It adopted a new name of Australian Christian
Churches in 2007 and currently consists of more than
1,120 churches with over 215,000 constituents,
making it the largest Pentecostal movement in
Australia.
In our church you'll find vibrant, contemporary
Christians who love the Lord Jesus Christ and express
that love in lively praise and worship and in caring
relationships.
We are Bible-loving, evangelical and Pentecostal.
We are committed to bringing other people to a
relationship with Jesus Christ.
(Matt 28:18-20) and seek to display the fruit of the
Spirit in our lives
(Gal 5:22-23). We believe in the power and the gifts
of the Holy Spirit and have a commitment to fulfilling
our destiny in God
Senior Pastors Rick & Chris Roberts
Pastors Rick & Chris have been in pastoral ministry
for more than 25 years.
In 1997 they both left full-time employment to enrol
in Bible College at Liberty Ministry College in Logan
City. They subsequentlyserved at Liberty Christian
Church as New Christians and Pastoral Care Pastors.
In 2002 they answered the call to become senior
pastors of Christian Family Church Gympie.
Since that time they have seen the church grow and
develop even more into a vital part of God’s vibrant
church of the 21st century.
They have a passion to see people of all ages and
walks of life reach their full potential in Christ by
coming to a saving knowledge of Him as Lord,
growing daily in their Christian walk and serving their
local church and community.
They are the proud parents of 3 adult children
(2 married daughters and 1 son)
and 4 amazing grandchildren (so far!).
